CRISPY VEGAN BEAN TOSTADAS
Crispy Vegan Bean Tostadas (Chuy’s Style)
If you love the tostada appetizer from Chuy’s then you’re going to love these even more! They’re crispy, filling, easy to make and loaded with goodness. They’re a definite crowd pleaser!
INGREDIENTS
6 corn tostada shells
16 oz can vegetarian refried beans
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
SUGGESTED TOPPINGS
romaine lettuce (chopped)
pico (store bought is a big time saver)
spring onions (sliced)
vegan cheese or my Queso Recipe
vegan sour cream or my Cashew Cream Recipe
METHOD
Preheat oven to 375°F.
In a medium bowl use a spoon to mix together the refried beans, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin and black pepper.
Spread the bean mixture over the tostadas and bake for 15-20 minutes or until the edges of the tostadas start to brown.
Take tostadas out of the oven, cut them in half and add your toppings. ENJOY!!!
